I was wondering the best way to run my new Alpine type R 12's set up. I have 2 SWR-1242D subs and 2 m1000 amp

The subs are Dual Voice Coil and are rated at 4 ohms. I believe their rated RMS is 450 and the RMS for the amp is 500 i believe. If anyone can help me out, that'd be great! Thanks in advance =) Let me know if you any specifics.

  1. You are going to ruin your type R subs......

    K that was melodramatic. Your amp is TOTALLY wrong for those subs. If wired correctly, your amps would be pushing 1000RMS to 500RMS speakers.

    You needed 2 ohm subs for the set up. If I understand you correctly that you have 2 tYpe Rs and 2 MRP-M1000s.

    Even with the right Subs, you would push 600RMS to 500RMS subs.
