I was wondering what are the best brand name of bikes?

I want to buy a bike for my mothers birthday, and all she needs it for is riding around on the streets for some excercise...what do you think?

Everyone has their favorite brand. Right now, I like Giant. They seem to give a good value for the price.

for a complete bike for your mother i would have to say schwinn, they have been around forever and they know thier ****. but here is a list of other reliable comapnies that make quality bikes for a decent price:

I would go to your local bike shop and ask the salesmen what he thinks best is for your mother, i would say a nice beach cruiser, unless she is serious i would get her maybe a 10speed. you also need to think abotu how much your mom is gonna ride it, and where, and when, and how. good luck!
