I was wondering what type of doctor does this?

i have a short tongue (tongue tie) a birth defect. and i wanted the doctor to clip my web thats connects my tongue. (Lingual frenotomy) but i don't know what doctor does this so i can call, anyone know?

We had our sons clipped when he was about 4 yrs old.  His pediatrician did it.  It took all of 1 minute. He didn't even cry.  He just stuck his tongue out because he was so happy that he could. I don't know if it would be any different for an adult, but you could call your primary care doctor and ask.  There isn't much too it -- it's only skin so I think a primary care doctor could do it.
