  1. Well the early english settlers who arrived in America during the 16th century wanted to get away from the British rule. They fought many wars against Great Britian for their rights and freedom as a republic nation, and they finally announced on July 4th 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

  2. Because people in the USA are not braindead morons who worship one family just because that family inherited some titles?

Hereditary titles are worthless and should all be abolished as soon as possible.

  3. Hello? Maybe cause their a republic?

  4. Have you even been in an American history class?

  5. This is due to the very reason our country was formed. They [they being the colonists] wanted to get away from King James I because he was an unfair ruler [as many European rulers of his time were]. Having a king would be redundant.

  6. We were not "granted" independence, we killed a bunch of subjects to get it. The US founders wanted a more distributed government with checks and balances you can not have in a monarchy.

  7. Until the US was granted independence, it had a monarchy under colonialist Britain.
