  1. yes, the military is the only place where you will accumulate enough flight hours to qualify for a commercial liscence.


  2. My father did the ROTC thing... he graduated ASU69.  Started flight school for the AF and served 25 years then retired.. got his private license and started flying commercial.  Now he flys business jets for rich people

  3. Excellent choice. By joining the ROTC you can gain a perspective of what the military will actually be like. You can also earn credits for when you enroll in whatever branch you choose. My son also wants to follow this course. The ROTC commanders can also steer you in the best direction for you to go to obtain your goals. Commercial airline piolets are in demand.  May your dreams come true.

  4. Absolutely.  That's the way to go.

  5. Not really helpful but would look good on a resume. If you go in the military, chances are very likely you won't get to fly even if you go in the airforce because it is so competitive. Almost certainly you will end up a mechanic or something else. Your best bet would be to go to a private flight school (mega expensive) and so ROTC would not be helpful.
