I was at a gas station that had been robbed six days ago - the cop assumed I was the person who did it because I had torn up jeans and dyed hair (I am in a rock band). He hit me with the club in the head which knocked me to the ground and then beat my back about six times. Once the clerk told the police it was the guy who was already across the street they caught him and that was all I know because I left and went to my friends house.

  1. Definitely! You should be looking for a lawyer right now. You have enough proof, plus the fact that they beat you down to have that police officer fired and to have a pretty penny in your bank account!

  2. I call BS...this did not happen, you sound like you're about 12.

  3. You might have something there, go to a lawyer and ask them for their opinion

  4. yes, get a lawyer and see if the gas station video surveilence cameras caught it on tape--good luck

  5. If its on tape you have a slight chance he may get a reprimand, but if not, nothing will happen.

I'm sure you're guilty of something and deserved it anyway.

    Thats how cops roll.

  6. yeah that's called police brutality! however, you shouldn't of left the scene. you should of got the officers badge number  and got a hold of a lawyer right then and there. yes if you have video footage you will have a strong case. but once again. you left the scene. maybe he just didn't like the color of your hair.

  7. You may be too late. Being assaulted, especially without any warning (did the policeman tell you to stay still or get down, anything) might have been actionable but probably only right away...

The courts will side with the cop in anything questionable... so if the cop says you made a movement toward him or looked like you might flee or something, you would probably get shrugged out of court. Wrong, but typical.

You dont know why the cop did it, dont assume it was your jeans or hair... and leaving for a friends house probably lost you any chance cause you were clearly OK.

  8. Police brutality!

Have fun suing their pants off!
