Question:

I washed a red shirt and a white shirt together?

Like an idiot, I wash all my laundry together. I don't sort anything and do separate loads, I just throw it all together. Well I just bought a red t shirt and the tag says "wash before wearing" so I threw it in with some other stuff, including a plain white shirt. I washed it all in cold water then dried it in the dryer. I took it all out and found that the white shirt is now a very very light pink. Can I fix this? I always wash all my stuff together and this has never happened :(

  1. From the supermarket you can buy a product called something similiar to dye run you will find with other laundry products and the idea is that it will remove the dye from the white shirt.

If that doesn't work buy a new shirt.

  2. You can try bleaching your white shirt, but it's probably gonna be pink from now on...

  3. you could try bleaching it. but i'm not sure it will work.  it's worth a shot though

  4. Just bleach it in warm water by itself.  Does your washer have a soak setting?  Use it.  If not, just wash it again with regular bleach, and warm water.  Don't use detergent as that will inhibit the bleach from working as well.  Good luck.
