I work 50 hour weeks and get paid 1000 every 2 weeks

I got my timesheet but I did not get a paid for yesterday. I asked to see the manager of the warehouse. I told him that I had not been paid and that he knew that I was there because I always saw him. He called me a liar and said I had not been there.

He said I had a choice I could sign and get 700 or not sign and get 0 dollars I did not sign. I willl call a lawyer and deal with it but I have work tonight should I go or quit which gives me the best chance to get my money.

  1. well chances are, if your gonna get lawyers involved its best to quit mainly cause things could get pretty sucky for you if you stick around, your boss could go out of his way to make your life miserable...like extra work load and what not....

but also think about your financial situation....can you afford to quit at the moment? still look for another job but dont quit if you know you dont have the financial stability to do so.

  2. The day you stop getting paid is the last day you show up.

  3. Maybe they  pulled a milton on you from office space. Next thing you know they'll be moving your desk to the basement.

  4. Sounds Like Yur Jus Showin Off To Me lol

  5. man thats fuked up! quit but take the 700$

  6. Definitely go to work, otherwise they may try to fire you.

  7. I think you should definitely call your lawyer. You shouldn't be able to take that c**p, you know you worked those hours. And once you win the trial and get your money that you earned. QUIT because there is no reason for you to trust them anymore.

  8. Go into work make it seem as though there's nothing going on, i would certainly go to a solicitor they will be able to help you go about it the right way. Do you sign in or clock in at all cause that will help prove your case too. Hope it all goes well for you.

  9.   report him to the labour dept. in your area.i feel there is more to this story.but good luck anyway.

  10. Go to work, and perhaps you should consult the better business bureau? anyway your lawyer will help you with all the technical stuff, if you go to work though it will look like you are a committed person also will help you to look more truth full! i know it'll stink, but you should still go!

  11. Go to work as usual and pursue your missing pay through several levels of management.  There is plenty of evidence that you worked and you will eventually get paid.

Being paid for the hours worked is a basic right of workers and is protected legally.  If necessary, you can go to the state labor board, file a complaint, and they will help you get the pay you are entitled to.
