Question:

I wear contacts and my eyes got really red can soomeone tell me why this happened?

yesturday i was wearing my daily contact lense and from out of the blue my eyes just started hurting my right eye turned blood red and also this morning i wokke up and my right eyes wouldn't open and when i went to the bathroom it hurt my eye when i finally was able to open it. i don't know what caused it but i'm really scared because it has never happened to me before, i been wearing contacts for over 6 months already. can someone give me any tips on what i can do to reduce the redness or the pain or any thing i should do i'm planning on going to my eye doctor later but in the mean time i just need tips before i go on what i should do.

this would really help and thank you all ahead of time =)

  1. You should definitely make an appt. with your doctor..

    But until then, take your contacts out. Give your eyes some air. It sounds like to me that you may have an eye infection starting up..

    You should just wear your glasses until you can see your doctor.

    He will probably prescribe your some eye drops to get it cleared up in a couple of days..

    I had an eye infection & the worst thing to do is to keep your contacts in. It keeps your eye irritated..and makes the infection worse..

    Also, throw out the pair of contacts you had in when you noticed your red eyes. You don't need to put those back in!

  3. Through out that pair of contacts.  It appears that the lense gave you an infection. Don't wear any contacts for a few days and you should be fine...
