but my eyes are always bloodshot and they sting a little most of the time, though only when I close my eyes.

I've had contacts for over a year. Oh, and I'm fourteen if it matters.

i was at mine earlier on this summer (same problem nd im 15) .. nd i asked him could it be from wearing them to much ( i wear them 5 days a week ) nd he said god noo .. there made for yr eyes it should be happenen ... if that happens to anyone its because either there hands or contacts or even eyes were dirty b4 puttin the contacts in .. nd if it keeps happenin your eyes will go red ... nd if u still put the contacts in youl get a infection ........ so leave them out until your eyes get bk to normal .. you'l hav ta wear yr glasses for a while

  2. I wear contacts too, and im 14. when i went to the eye doctor a few weeks ago they told me that it makes your eyes bloodshot from wearing them too much, and not getting a new pair every 3 weeks. your eyes wont get much oxygen like they need if you dont change them alot. also if you dont clean them by rubbing them there is still residue on the contacts and can scratch your eyes and make them red.[[even if the solution says No-Rub, dats a lie.]] Hope i helped. Good luck. =]

  3. Mmmm, this shouldn't happen even if you wear them everyday.

If may be the brand of contacts you use or the cleaning agent you use.

Talk to your optometrist about it and they may be able to recommend both.

  4. You should really consult an optometrist or ophthalmologist and have your eyes checked.

It could be a lot of things from allergy to the solution, improper size of lens or even some sort of infection/bacteria.  You can never be too careful with your eyes.

Have a professional take a look.
