Question:

I wear soft contacts and vision in right eye is not as sharp?

This has gone on for about three months now. I'm thinking it's the curvature of my eye. The vision in my left eye is sharp, but not in my right eye. I have even tried several different pairs and still the same result. Could it be that the curvature in my eye is changing?

36-years-old. Have had soft contact lenses (designed for those with astigmatism) for over a year. I wear glasses 65% of the time, contacts 35% of the time. Vision is approximately 20/2300 without correction (yes, really, really bad) -- and 20/15 with glasses and 20/10 with contacts -- BUT lately my vision with contacts has been more like 20/40 or 20/50, and I don't feel comfortable to drive at night. I don't have allergies or dry eye.

I have already called my eye doctor for an appointment.

  1. No, it might be ur degree has changed. do check ur eyesight again with ur eye doc asap. Good luck

  2. That is very difficult to pinpoint a logical reason for.

It could be as simple as a bad batch of lenses for that eye , where either the curvature or the axis rotation isn't right.

It's good that you have an appointment, because actually seeing the lenses on you would be the only way to rule out certain possibilities.
