I usually hit a 10-15 yard draw to get a little more roll.

  1. become more flexable... flexablility is the key to distance

  2. You may not be able to.  I'd be more concerned with hitting it in the fairway.

  3. lift weights but make sure you do it carefully keep your tempo and dont just swing faster.

focus on accracy.I have been beat but a guy who drives it 200 yard and i hit it 270 but his drives were accurate

  4. Just work on the fundamentals of your swing. If your tempo is good and all parts of your body are in sync at impact, you could hit it 250+. It takes practice, and you really need to work on a fundamentally sound swing. You don't need to be big to hit the ball, you just need to be in the right place at the right time.

But hey, hitting the gym and using the weights couldn't hurt...

  5. Hit harder and faster.

  6. I hit mine about 260-270, a nice draw and 30 yds of roll.

The timing of snapping your wrist is key. If you get it down just right, you should hit it a few yards farther.

  7. this is pretty tough for you. im only 21 played golf in high school (team finished 2nd in state) then i hit the ball about 280 - 290. but a friend on the team could crank it about 320+ and i was jealous. he was about 6'2 300lbs. im 6'7 250, so i put a 2 inch extension in this adams tight lies driver got my hips a lot more involved and he cant catch up with me now. me and him are the 2 farthest hitters we've ever seen now i just got to learn how to chip and i'll be alright. but i think the best way to hit the ball farther is the extension , longer club, more torque, more swing speed. but tough when your 5'7 tho.

  8. One thing that may help is try to do everything with as little tension as you can in your muscles.  Loose relaxed muscles are fast muscles.  Tight clenched muscles are a lot slower.  In the 1970's, Nolan Ryan would always shake his right hand and arm before delivering the ball.   He was trying to get them as loose as possible, no one could throw a baseball harder in his day.

  9. It's all about tempo and timing. I'm 25 years old, 5'8", 135 pounds, and I have the same problem you do. Look at Charles Howell III. That guy is about 155 pounds (soaking wet), and he can crush the ball. My local golf pro is teaching me to perfect my timing at the bottom of my swing. If you can perfect your wrist "snap" and weight transfer during impact, you will add a lot of distance to your drive. A lot of amateurs understand the concept of wrist snap (and weight transfer), but their timing is a bit off. They may release too soon or too late, and it prevents them from really unloading off the tee.

  10. um...    eat?

  11. I'm 5-9 150 pounds and at time's have hit it 320 yards the secret is hand speed, relaxed arms strong legs and a long backswing that goes slightly past parallel. The other factor is swing quality getting your swing on plane and having enough room for your arms to swing freely. I'm a good athlete if you are as well join a gym and work on getting stronger to swing the club faster.Primarily work on the muscles that let you fire through with power and at the same time get strong arms to allow you to swing the club head faster. Don't bother with chest exercises they restrict your swing the forearms legs and hands are the major power factor. Do all of this get same lessons gain some weight and you may just hit hit 285 yards good luck.
