I went 75 mph in a 65 mph zone in California. Does anybody know the price of that? For a ticket?

I usually drive at least 75 mph in 65 posted zones here in California.  I have never received a ticket for such a low speed, nor have most people I know.  Stay alert, keep an eye out for CHP, and chances are you won't pay anything.  If you are unlucky enough to get a ticket -- show up in court.  I say you have a 50% the officer will not show up, your case is dismissed, and you pay nothing.  Keep driving whatever speed keeps you alert and attentive to your driving.  Driving slow & then not focusing on driving, is the greater danger.

  3. If you were cited for a violation of Vehicle Code section 22349(a), the fine as listed in the 2008 Uniform Bail Schedule is $146.

    Counties are allowed to vary slightly from that amount.

  4. like, $250.  not cheap, def not worth it.
