I have never had that happen to me. Most people told me that I was low on potassium and that I should eat a banana, but I never eat bananas and I have never had a charlie horse before. The food I ate at the campus was not that different from the food that I eat at home, so I wonder why I got it. Apart from the fact that we were in the sun all day I can't really see why I would get one. Can someone tell me why I got this leg cramp?

  1. Dehydration is a common cause of a Charlie Horse.  Dehydration from being in the Sun all day was probably the cause.

  2. maybe you should eat more bananas and drink more water( it aint gonna kill ya). If it doesnt happen any more you will know

  3. Just because you never eat bananas doesn't mean your potassium levels aren't low.  If it was a one time thing, I wouldn't worry about it but if it continues to happen, eat a banana or some other food that has potassium in it every day if possible and stretch the muscles in your legs too.
