  1. really depends on your command I know if you are in combat MOS you are done. If your in some chill MOS than you might have a chance. But personally I say your out and just a bad choice.

  2. Are you serious?   If you infact went AWOL and have been away for 6 months why would you want to go back to finish your contract?  Going AWOL is serious, you better not make any plans for awhile as you will be serving some time- they will not let you finish your contract.

  3. I know 2 different people who went awol.

My brother went awol from the marines, did some time in the brig and for how long he was gone that's how long got added to his contract. he remained in good standing through the rest of his enlistment and got out with a honorable discharge.

Best friend went awol right after AIT.  Stayed gone for 11 months, she got caught trying to go on to a navy base in Cali and they sent her back to her permanant assigned unit in Missouri.  Nothing really happened to her.  She got 11 months added onto her contract, promoted to E-3 after her pt test.  It all depends on your chain of command.

Good luck and try not going awol anymore.

  4. in the brig!

  5. you are a deserter and have been dropped from the rolls.  you have a warrant for your arrest.  you will be sent to the deserter collection center and then they will decide what will happen to you after that.  you could spend time in jail, or they might give you an article 15 punishment.  you will have to have some pretty good extinuating circumstances to get off too easy.

  6. CAN YOU SAY "JAIL"

  7. No, desertion during a time of war is punishable by death. However that hasn't happened since WWII. Plan on finishing out your contract at Fort Leavenworth as that is going to be your PCS move. Plan on being there around 2-5 years or so. Congratulations, your now a felon.

  8. You will be discharged and sent to prison for at LEAST 30 days or basically as long as they feel like it. And technically after 30 days is desertion, and it is punishable by death in wartime, they don't really do that anymore, but it's still in the books.

  9. You are not AWOL...you are now classified as a "Deserter" and

NO you cannot finish out your contract...other than in the Brig...

  10. I think you should go back ASAP before things get worse for you

  11. sure you can

after you get out of the brig

  12. After 30 days of AWOL it is Desertion, so now you have a new problem.

  13. Yeah I think you're kind of in a LOT of trouble with the army... Unless you have a good excuse, I think they'll hunt you down and punish you good!  Good luck with that....
