I went for a job interview, does this mean i got the job?

i'm 17, i went on a job interview yesterday and the guy said to come by when i can and i'll do a trial run (its a job at a bagel/deli ) so i told him i'm availible (yesterday) and i worked for 4 hours, and i was serving people for at least 3 of the hours. he said that i should come in next wednesday at 7 to 12, and if i do okay then, then he'll put me on during the weekend. everyone working there told me that i was picking everything up really quick, and the boss wrote my name on one of the cards where you punch in and out.

he never actually said i'm hired

but does this mean i got the job?

You got the job - congrats! Don't rest with your feet up just yet, but as long as you keep doing great they will keep you on.

Usually, if someone has you on a trial run for a job, it means they are going to hire you.  If he had you fill out a W-4 form (for taxes) and an I-9, and asked you for your ID and Social Security card or birth certificate, then that means they intend on hiring you.

If he put your name on a time card, more than likely it means he will be giving you additional hours.  But, he just wants to see if you can handle the job before committing to you permenately. So, consider yourself "temp-to-hire" until after Wednesday.

Don't be afraid to just ask if he is intending on hiring you on a permanent basis!  And if he doesn't, be sure you get a check for the hours that you worked.

Sounds like you got the job - congratulations!  

What you can do is to call your boss and ask what hours you'll be working the next week or when you should come in to check the schedule.  That way, you'll get an idea of how many hours you'll have.

Keep up the good work, and maybe you can get more hours.

yes. I hate it when they never actually say it...lol... but u can pretty much assume you've been hired. congrats!
