ok so they said if i was successful they would have to seek my references first which could take a few days. they said they would let me know friday and if the decision was going to be delayed they would ring me and tell me, i havent heard from them??

a boy from my course also went for the job and his status says ''...... says bollo*ks to it all'' so maybe that refers to the job????

would they ring me and tell me if i didnt have the job??? arghhhhhhhh!

  1. ooh i hate it when they do that, same happened 2 me few weeks ago and i jus had letter saying didnt get it, its bad cause they shldnt say they gonna ring if they arent. Im not suggesting you didnt get it, but the usual process isthey  tell the person they want first, and they dont seem 2 care about others. Hope u hear sn x

  2. Ring ring ring ring... hello... im just calling to say you hav'nt got the job... sorry... better look next time... . thats life.. thats the way it is.. sorry.. bye bye

  3. nah you'll hear in righting if you haven't got it, I wouldn't give up just yet, maybe if you dont hear tomorow.... sorry Monday.

  4. Nope they wouldnt.Maybe they just are waiting till later please help me http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  5. You should call them.

  6. I would like to add this if I may: the biggest mistake one can make in job hunting is not to follow up your application. I suggest that you call them, don't leave anything to chances, I know they said they will call you, may be for some silly reason the person should call you didn't make the call or your was busy.

I have my own company and usually we call the people even if we can't offer them the job, but so many time we hired people because they kept calling to enquire which it showed they really want to the job, please call them and all the best of luck.

  7. no

  8. Sorry to say but most bad news comes in the mail.

If you can't stand to wait and hear (can't blame you), it never hurts to contact the HR department and ask for the status of your interview.  I would not recommend calling the person you interviewed with as they most likely have already made the decision and calling them when you did in fact get the job is bad taste (seems accusatory and if they have made a good decision to hire you, they will have to follow up with HR anyway).  Hope this helps.  And GOOD LUCK hope you hear good news.
