I went off birth control after 7 years 2-3 months ago. About 5 months ago I had some breakthrough bleeding during my ovulation cycle (never had happened before, even with missing pills) so my doctor switched me to another pill, this pill messed with my hormones alot, so in the middle of the pack about 2+ months ago, I stopped taking it. I have been using condoms, but we have had a couple mishaps. My last period lasted more than 7 days at the end of april (ending april 28th I believe). I have not had a period since. I took 2 pregnancy test, both negative. I am on hydrocodone and aleve for pain (herniated disk). Could I be pregnant? Or could I just not be regulated yet?

  1. There really isn't anyway for anyone to answer your question.. If you are passed your missed period and having negative results, most likely your not pregnant. The only way to know is to got to your doctor and have a blood test done..

Also, untill you figure out what pill is right for you, try using a spermicidal jelly or the pull out method along with condoms.. My fiance and I relyed on this for a year (untill we decided to have a baby) and it worked!

  2. It will take about 6 months or longer for you periods to get regulated. Birth control usually stops you from ovulating, thats why you dont become pregnant on pills. (or aleast some of us don't lol). You have to let your body get used to being off of the pill. Take care, Shannon :)

  3. I think that you would need to go back to your Doctor! Stop fooling around till you find the right answer from your doctor.
