The seas weren't too rough but you could definitely feel the movement. Never got sick but took Dramamine every day, just in case.

  1. I felt slightly dizzy for like 5 days after my seven day cruise.

  2. Perfectly Fine, It is just your sea legs and actually it can take people up to 4 cruises to get used to it. Give it another day or so.

  3. Hey...I worked on a cruise line, so I know very well about what you're going through.  You're perfectly fine.  Your body is slowly re-adjusting to a new environment--land.  That's because it worked really hard at adjusting to the cruise, even if there was not much movement.  It's a simple, bio-physical experience.

Compare it to darkness and light.  Do you remember watching a movie or video in school, then to have the lights quickly turned on afterward?  The eyes become strained!  That's because your eyes adjusted lower levels of light and a great level of darkness.  The environment changed, and so the body (your eyes) had to react and adjust to this sudden change.  In most cases, you feel a strain, and would want to rub your eyes or shield them from the light.  Now imagine being in a dark room with no light for one day or more?

So the body is re-adjusting, and will take a while as it is making sense of what exactly is happening with it's current environment.  The dizziness you feel is the body preparing for a repeated change--it's simply making sense of what's going on.

  4. I happened to me too. Something you can try are Sea Bands. They use acupressure to try to releave sea sickness.

  5. The same thing happened to me on my first cruise.  For about a week afterwards I could feel my bed swaying side to side at night.  What you're feeling is perfectly normal.  It just takes a few days to get your "sea legs" back.

  6. Yeah, you're going to be fine.  It's called sea legs.  I had that too, but not for two days.  It's a weird feeling.  On the first cruise I went on, I stepped off the ship at the first port and almost fell into the water because of my "sea legs".
