  1. The fact that they are hard subjects alone could very well account for the bad ratings.  I wouldn't worry too much.  Besides, since there are rarely several people teaching a hard course at one school at a time, you probably don't have a choice of teachers anyway.  I often find that the teachers I like are not the same ones others like, so be open to the fact that they might be good.

  2. one of my teachers on their got a low score, but i thought she was awesome, but hard.

  3. I had students say nice things about me on that site.....

Go to class the first day and make your own decisions.

  4. Be careful with those websites. Often people are angry and I think sometimes irrational. What contributors to those sites don't fully get is that detrimental effects. I had a principal - well loved and probably deserved the country's principal award and some rebellious kids got mad because they got in trouble for breaking a rule and they destroyed her reputation.

Think, how would you feel if there was a website about you. Don't support these sites by visiting them. Talk to others who have been in their class and ask them what pleases this particular teacher and what makes them tick...When I was in college I always asked past students how ateacher graded.

  5. I wouldn't let someone else's account of what was surely a negative experience with a teacher make up your mind for you. Just show up and do your absolute best and try to keep an open mind so you can form your own opinions. You will feel much more in control of your own life! :)

  6. I wouldn't think so.  Like the first person mentioned those students that filled it out are probably upset with the teacher or have personal problems with them.  I would wait and judge for yourself.  Just be respectful.  Honestly I would rather have a C average student in my class who was respectful and tried than a student who easily got As and was disrespectful.

  7. I wouldn't worry about it. People on there can be really harsh.

  8. Probably not!  Only students who are motivated by rage take the time to complete those things.

  9. I doubt you should be worried.  Most of the ratings I see from professors I know are completely bogus - someone didn't bother putting in any work and failed the course.  OMG!!!!  It must be the profs fault!  Seriously, just do the work and you should be fine.
