Its particularly my left ear but my right one is clogged a bit too. How can I unclog my ears?

I've tried hitting my head and tilting it and all that stuff, doesn't work. Whats the real remedy?

  1. try pouring alcohol in them. the alcohol evaporates quickly and takes the water with it. if this doesnt work, you should probably go to doctor and get eardrops for swimmers' ear.

  2. Jump on the one foot.  the side that is cloged, and tilt your head the same direction.

  3. There's nothing you can do, you will be deaf your entire life.

In fact, swimming is the leading cause of deafness in the United States.

    --------------------------------------

Seriously, just allow it to drain. Don't put anything in your ears. You can try pushing on your ears gently with a towel while tilting your head, but otherwise, just lie down on your side.

  4. If your ears are clogged you have the possiblity of an ear infection.

    I recommend

    - tilting your head and jumping up and down on one foot

    - cleaning it out and a Q-tip

    - hitting your ear with your palm repeatedly.

If none of the above works, go see a doctor.

  5. get swim ear (ear drops for swimmer) tilt your head to the opposite side you put the drops in and wait for about 10 seconds, and  then do the jumping on one foot and shaking your head everyone else said to do. if you cant find the swim ear stuff, use rubbing alcohol

  6. It happens. You may be a candidate for swimmer's ear.

Lying on the affected side should allow it to drain. DON'T go sticking anything in there to try and sop it up. Let nature take its course. If you have prolonged issues you might consult your MD. If you actually have an infection, antibiotics should take care of it in 7-10 days. Try some ear drops for it from your local drug store. Ask pharmacist what's best.

  7. Take your head and turn it in the direction of the glogged ear. Shake your head in that direction about 5-10 times. If that doesn't work, find a couch, bed, or pillow and hit that side of your head off of it about 5-10 times. By then any left over water should be out of your ear.

  8. Try mixing a tablespoon of alchohol and a tablespoon of vinegar togething and put a drop in each ear after each time you swim. Then shake your head and plug your ears with a towel and let go. Works every time!
