I went through an EZ-Pass are on the PA turnpike by mistake... see below...?

Question

I was following my GPS tonight on the PA Turnpike and it said bear left. To do so I slammed on my breaks and stopped in a white line area to do so. I go through and see cameras and blue lights above me. My dad tells me that was an EZ-Pass only lane, and I'll be getting a ticket. If I go to the toll plaza tomorrow pay for the ticket and explain what happened, will that help. Also how are those assessed and does it add points to your drivers license? Thanks

When you drove threw it they take a picture of your license plate and send you a ticket through mail. If you don't pay it by the due date it will keep adding a percentage until you pay it. Even if you explained what happened they probably won't except it because anyone can lie about it.
