  1. yeah im sorry, thats all on you. it was your responsibility to keep up with your belonings. this just happened to my friend and he was the one throwing the party! now that sucks.

  2. Unless the homeowner was keeping it safe for you then no, sadly they are not responsible.

  3. That's terrible. But it's your responsibility unless they specifically took control of it (if they borrowed it from you or offered to store it somewhere for you). If they were nice friends, they'd offer pay for half of the replacement cost.

  4. its ur fault u didnt keep it safe

  5. No, would you replace it if at your household? Maybe if there child took it you'd have a case but that's absurd to think they should replace it

  6. nope

  7. it is your responsibilty try asking the owneer to get all the guests to come again and come forward if they stole it

  8. No.  You are responsible for your own things.

  9. yes, they are legally responsible.  It would be up to them to go after the person who stole it after they paid you for the item.

  10. your responsible for whatever you lose...

take better care of your stuff

  11. The homeowner is not responsible in any way unless they were the one who actually stole it.  The responsibility ultimately goes back to you since you decided to bring it and not keep it in a safe place.

  12. No, it's not there fault it got stolen...

  13. I think it really depends.  Did the homeowner ask to use your Ipod to play music for the party?  Or did you leave it somewhere unattended on your own accord?  I think the homeowner is only obligated to repay you if he or she was in possession of (and therefor responsible for) what was stolen.  Otherwise, it was your responsibility to take care of your property.

  14. No, your belongings are your responsibility.

  15. Only if the homeowner agreed to take custody of your ipod and to be responsible for its safety.  Otherwise, the thief is responsible.  Hence, if you put your money in a bank account, the bank is responsible for a robbery, but if you put your money in an envelope and leave it on a counter in the bank, the bank is not responsible.

  16. you should replace it

  17. NO, BC WHAT PROOF DO U HAVE.

  18. same thing happened to me.  buy an ipod touch as a replacement, theyre better ipods so you will feel better.  I dont think the homeowners are responsible, especially if the suspect wasnt invited.

  19. Nope, unless they were borrowing it to play the music for the occasion.

  20. OH Im sorry that that happend to you.  But because you left you personal property in view of stranger, its not the home owners problem.
