I am visiting my cousin in Florida...and she is disabled so we went to this Drama Club thing they were having...When they are on stage, sometimes they'll sing and sometimes one of them will talk in the mic..but the rest of the time they will be moving their head and arms..or rolling their eyes up...When they move their body parts in circles they look dumb...It ruins even the most attractive ones looks..Anybody know what I'm talking about? Do you agree? I'm sure they do that cause they're disabled and some my gosh can't read...but I have another cousin on the other side of the family that's disabled and his ACTS group worked differently..his was ACTS..hers is Drama

  1. EVERY ACTING GROUP IS DIFFERENT AND I AM SURE THOSE DISABLED KIDS ARE HAVING FUN - THAT'S WHAT IT IS ABOUT FOR THEM. THAT'S WHAT ACTING SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE - FUN AND A GREAT LEARNING PROCESS. SOME OF THOSE KIDS MIGHT NEVER EVER GET AN OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM LIKE THAT FOR AN AUDIENCE. PLEASE DON'T CONCENTRATE ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY LOOK "DUMB" CONCENTRATE  ON THE TIME AND EFFORT IT TOOK FOR THEM TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND HARD IT MIGHT BE FOR THEM TO GET ON STAGE  AT ALL.

HAVE YOU EVER  GONE TO THE "SPECIAL OLYMPICS" FOR DISABLED ATHLETES? IT IS DESIGNED FOR ALL PEOPLE TO HAVE A CHANCE TO COMPETE IN SPORTS - NO MATTER WHAT THEIR DISABILITY- IS - SO THEY CAN FEEL LIKE A WINNER TOO. THESE PROGRAMS ARE WONDERFUL. I THINK THESE KIDS ARE LUCKY THEY HAVE A PROGRAM THEY CAN PARTICIPATE IN. GIVE THEM PROPS FOR TRYING. I KNOW YOU DON'T MEAN TO BE MEAN ABOUT IT. IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT THEY DON'T LOOK "COOL".....
