I went to my best friend's house today?

Question

I went to my best friends house like I always do on the weekends but this time his girlfriend of 2 years was there. I don't know what was up with my best friend today but he told her right to her face that I will always come before her and that he loves me more than her. He then went on to say that if she didn't like it that she can get the **** out of his house. She got her keys and left without saying anything and slammed the door. I was in complete shock and didn't ask him what was going on. Why would he say all of this to his girlfriend?

Because best friends ALWAYS come before girlfriends.  I'm actually glad you asked this question.  They were probably talking, and she was probably upset that you had come over, and that he wasn't paying enough attention to her.

He's a loyal and great friend indeed.

I think he may have deeper feelings for you than the girl if that's the way he acted. Otherwise I think they were in the middle of a fight then he just wanted to put her in her place.

I'd ask him about it.

From a woman's point-of-view, I'm thinking she challenged him, maybe was trying to come between you two and find where she stood in the relationship.  After 2 years, I'd want to know too.  She wanted a commitment from him, but instead she got the boot.  He's being very loyal to you, and telling her that comes first and she comes second.

Man, what a scene. Maybe that was his way of coming out of the closet? Kind of a weird way of doing it, but to each his own, I guess. Sounds like you have a pretty dedicated friend there.

wow.... i think your best friend might be g*y and he loves you... just guessing. Maybe he loves you as best friend more than any relationship? And the fact is we are not your best friend, we can only explain and imagine according to what's your post. For best answer i think it is from your own best friend's mouth. don't you think so?

I'd ask him. If he loves you so much, I doubt he'd hold such a question against you.

Ye i agree with acdc as well...some of my straight friends i would of sworn were g*y because they cared so much more about their male best friends than the girl friends lol and they're def straight. So i think she was most probably jealous of how much time he spends with you compared to her.

Yeah I don't think he is professing his homosexual love for you, just that he loves you as a friend and that he is feed up with all her girlfriend drama. Relax and kick it with him, now you guys don't have to deal with her drama for awhile.
