i went to a pier at around 9.30 pm

i heard a beeping noise, it was really slow and steady, like two beeps per minute. it got closer and further away.

is this a boat or what? i'm just curious.

  4. Maybe a Buoy off somewhere?  It was probably further away, and the shifting currents of the wind affected the way the sound carried.

    Or... maybe the beach's batteries were low, and needed recharging?

  15. It could be someone using a metal detector.. bc it beeps faster when you are closer to the metal object and slower when you are far away from a metal object. and also you have to move aroound alot when you're searching for stuff... thats what i think it could be... hope it helps!

  16. Its a navigational bouy for ship traffic, they have sound and lights that are unique to thier location.

  21. Most likely related to maritime navigation.  But more details would be needed (like geographic location) to properly confirm it on a navigational chart.
