I went to the doctors today and he told me that my bladder was 3xs bigger than what it should be from a uti?

i have been hurting a lot in my lower stomach area and today i was seen by a doctor who said my bladder is three times bigger than normal and that i have way to many white and red blood cells in my urine so he said i have a uti does this always happen and if not how bad is my uti and what kinds of things can i do to prevent them

  1. In women, the most common cause of a UTI is fecal-urethra route.

    Somehow, weather from improper wiping or sweat, et cetera...a bacteria called E. Coli gets in to the urethra. Though this is certianly not the only cause, it is the most preventable.

    Determining "how bad" a UTI is is a matter of counting the leukocytes (white cells) in the urine. The more there are the worse it is. Distention of the bladder, however, is very common in UTI and does not nessicarily mean that it is severe.
