  1. dont delete anything from microsoft, go to your start menue and select run then type in msconfig

Now click on the start tab and begin unchecking programs you dont need to have on start up then re-boot.

Do your disc clean up and defrag by going to your start menue the ascsssories...then system tools.

Now this registry cleaner will be a big help ccleaner.

Last but not least go to your control panel and select add remove programs and begin uninstalling alot of the c**p you no longer need or use then reboot again.

  4. h**l no!No service pack=No working PC. Through 'control panel' go to Add/Remove programs. Remove any programs you no longer use. Download CCleaner, install and run. It will delete clutter. Run it's registry feature and fix issues. These two actions will speed the PC up a bit. Download Auslogics Disk Defrag and run it. It will tell you exactly how much faster the PC now is. Links below : )

  5. Don't delete service pack. The service pack will patch your system vulnerabilities. Follow this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...

  6. Short of buying a faster PC, the best way of speeding it is to add more RAM memory and swap for a faster CPU. Leave SP in as you are unlikely to get any speed gains by tampering with it. You might nobble your PC by messing with it.

  7. The service pack includes security fixes and bug fixes in general for the operating system. In fact, the service pack probably helps speed your computer up.

Definately do not get rid of it.

  8. well, if you leave it on all the time that might be the problem, and then delete all unnessisary files

  9. Why would deleting a service pack speed it up? Leave it where it is.

  10. clear all the p**n off it that will help

  11. NO

  12. Just delete temporary internet files,if you dont have net, then increase the storage space or RAM but dont delete Microsoft service pack.

  13. if you want to increase the speed of your computer, there is a thing called overclocking which you can do. overclocking increases the clock rate of any part of the computer you want to overclock. this makes the computer faster. my friend overclocked his video card on his laptop, and now he can play better games on it. but the problem is that it is really risky. personally i wouldnt suggest it. if you want more info and know how to do it. try searching it on google. i think you need to download a spftware first for it

  14. To speed up your computer you'll need better hardware. Upgrade the CPU for faster calculations, the graphics card for 3d processing, the disk drive for disk access, and RAM for running concurrent applications.
