  1. sligo

  2. Limerick or just outside it. It is a great very modern city....

I live 30 mins from limerick but there are plenty of lovely little towns just near it....

  3. Somewhere in the midlands like Mullingar because then you can have easy access to Galway, Dublin etc.

    Good Luck!

  4. I live in Dublin and love it!!but the house proces are pretty expenisve...Santry has lovely new apartments and duplexs now right beside the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Chinese restaurant beside it and a shop around the corner. The industrial estate and airport is only minutes away.Id really consider,Drogheda! Its in Louth.its only 30 mins awaya from Dublin and is growing rapidly. It has great shops, cafe's,restaurants,Pubs and 2 great nightclubs! The atmosphere does be great at night.Depending on where you work, the M1 is a new motoway that leads tro Dublin and Belfast and really makes a big difference than before it was there. Also Navan is a lovely town,in Meath, alot of new housing estates have gone up there and are reasonally priced.they have a big shopping centre and a variety of cafes, pubs and restaurants.

    Hope this Helps

    Best of Luck!!!:)

  5. go to ballymoney its lovely and there is plenty of work

  6. I live near Carrickmacross, a reasonable size town in Co. Monaghan in a 10 bedroom house, but there are only 4 of us living here at the moment. I am from England and my house mates are from different countries. The rent is only 60 euros ($70)  a week including all bills.

Let me know if you are interested.

  7. Galway is nice, there are small towns on the west side of the county (Spiddal, Bearna). The city itself is getting very populated though.

    I live in Galway

  8. try cork city, theres a lot of work there and there is supermarkets everywhere you go in cork aswell

  9. clonakilty for defo,

i worked in the lodge & spa, after the limerick inn closed down,

it`s paradise on earth, give it a look over.

    good luck.

  10. Well personlly i think mayo is a beautiful county. If ytou want a biggish town then Castlebar is definetly your best bet. For a smaller town the i would reccommend Charlestown its very lovley and has enough shops and restaurants but not to big. But if you want to opt for a little village i would definatley definatley urge you to move to a place called carracstle!! its a beautiful little village, shop, pub, school, church not too big and not too small! Only 4 miles from the nearest town Charlestown and 30 mins from Castlebar the best shopping town in Mayo. I hope that you choose one of my ides because they really are nice!     By the way: the houses are not at all too expensive and theyre is plenty of work... and food!!!

  11. you'd better be a citizen, because you won't get a job if you're not. that is not the u.s.a. you know.

  12. Consider that Dublin itself is kind of a small city, with a population of little over 1 million!

There are a lot of sizeable (by Irish standard) towns near Cork City, the second biggest city in Ireland, like Midleton, Fermoy or Bandon. They all have banks, post office, supermarkets, cinema, restaurants and pubs you can walk to, but it won't be easy to find a job. Likely you'll find a job in Cork City.

Or you can consider smaller cities like Kilkenny, Waterford, Tralee (I lived in all of them). Kilkenny in particular is very pretty and there's a great buzz.

    Good luck on your move!

  13. Tralee has a lot of shops, banks, restaurants, pubs ect, and it's not too big, it has a nice shopping centre called Manor West just outside of town within walking distance, it has a Tesco's, Debenhams,Woodies diy, and a few more. Also the beaches are not much of a drive away Banna Strand,Ballyheighe, and BallyBunnion. and in the other direction you have Blennerville Windmill. not forgetting Crag Caves, Castleisland a couple of tourist attractions...It is also only about 2 hrs drive to Cork.

  14. Come to Clonakilty, West Cork. It won Best Emerging Eurpoean Town this year. It's only an hour from Cork city.
