I will be 16 this week & I will be getting my license...?

im not going to be able to get my license on my b.day cause its on a saturday but im getting them the week after. i was just wondering they told me i have to have a parent bring me but im wanting to get my dad to take me so i can go monday instead of wait until thursday. but my dads name isnt on my birth certificate. will they still let me get my license if he takes me?

I think the rules are different depending on the state, but they'll probably let you go regardless. In Florida, we need a parent. My aunt took me and no one said anything.
