I was hoping thet maybe they will contuniue the process. I scored an 84.5 on the at-sat and hope that I will not be cut-off because of age. I am also a 8 year vet. and have some aviation experience as a C-130H flight engineer. Have anyone been in my position and can help out?

  1. The age restriction is the date you are hired,  so as long as it started before you turned 31 then you should be fine.

  2. Taking the test is not really part of the hiring process, it's more along the lines of screening.  Currently the only persons being hired beyond the age of thirty are retired military controllers, and they must be accepted into the Phoenix 20 program.  You might try getting in touch with an HR specialist in your area ASAP and see if there's anything that can be done about expediting the process, but from what a specialist at my facility says, if you're not hired in the next three weeks, you're out of luck.  The 84.5 score should be OK, as one of our new hires here that I just asked said that he had an 84.

  3. I am fairly sure you need to be "hired" before you are 31.  I was looking into them a few years ago and decided not to continue as there would be no way to be "hired" by my birthday.
