get the shuttle bus to luton airport parkway station, then you can get the train direct to kings cross, journey time less than 40 mins and it is cheaper than the coach. (that train also runs all night.

Yes buses leave from outside the airport and cost about £15.  It takes about an hour to the centre of London.

Otherwise you can get the free shuttle bus from the airport to the train station and get the train to London, which costs about the same and takes about as long.
