  1. Video games, TV, let them get some exercise outside (water guns/swimming are always good on hot days) or let them build fort's out of blankets, couch cushions, and pillows. Try to find games to play with them like hide n seek or any sports games outside.

  2. rent a dvd and cook them good food :)

    and play board games...

  3. Get some coloring books, some kids movies and just ask them if they know any games they would like to play and you decide how safe it is :-) Good Luck!

  4. MOVIE NIGHT!

  5. Buy or rent the movie Transformers.

  6. if they have a video game system, go rent a game they can play together on it (like a racing game)!  or, rent a movie that's appropriate for both - like the bee movie, cars, etc.

it's kind of cheesy but kids LOVE this - make a scavenger hunt;  it's easy:   you make a list of things they need to find, like..  a pine cone, a rock that's 3 colors, something smaller than "johnny's" hand, etc.  for indoor, things like:  something with the word "cat" on it, something yellow and orange, something triangular, etc.  if they find it all, they get a prize (a piece of candy each, etc).

go to the dollar store and buy that game where they each have a velcro paddle attached to their hand, with a velcro ball they throw back & forth and catch on the velcro.  or squirt guns.

bring a cookbook or print some really simple cookie/cupcake recipes offline and let them pick one they want to make for mom & dad.  buy sprinkles so they can decorate!

bring a deck of cards & teach them how to play war if they don't already know how.

bring a chapter book & start reading.

set up an obstacle course outside - they have to kick a ball into a hula hoop or something, jump over a log, crawl for a certain distance, do the crab walk, etc.  you can do something similar inside.

have them help you write a story and have them draw the pictures for it.  it can be a present for mom & dad.

have a puzzle party.  bring all the puzzles you have, get out all of them they have, borrow some, and see how many you can do in however many minutes.

build a robot or something out of recycled things  - bring empty milk containers, jars, egg cartons, etc etc etc and let them go to town and build stuff.

buy some toothpicks and marshmallows and see if they can work together to build a "bridge" between two chairs - then when they are done they can eat their creation!

good luck!!!  hope some of these ideas worked : D

  7. take them to see iron man or something. boys are boys, i bet they would want to play grass hockey or soccer, too. and if you hate playing sports you can be a referee.

  8. Squirt guns, community swimming pool, trip to the zoo or the playground at the park then a snack and some movies.

  9. Find the recipes for "fake snot" or "fake vomit". We used to do it at a summer camp I worked for. They think it's hilarious! And it's not hard to make!

  10. coloring or some time of barney movie

  11. have them watch movies...alot of times kids are practically hypnotized by the television set. just make sure its something PG and still has alot of action. young boys almost always hate movies that are "slow-going." Also, have them run around outside a little bit so that they wont have too much energy inside. DO NOT make them take a nap unless thats what their parents want. They'll just get mad and be disruptive. And seven and eleven year olds are a little too old for naps. Make sure that if and when they eat, they eat at a table. Eating on the couch or in their rooms makes it more likely for spills, stains, and messes. To make things easier for you make sure they are always entertained with something or keeping themselves busy.

  12. boys like to go outside and play.  Maybe some basketball or digging around in the dirt.  Inside maybe they have some board games or some Uno.

  13. movies, outdoor activities such as swimming, bball, football, baseball, take them to the park, fishing, canoeing, or hunting with bb guns
