I will be between cologne & Hamburg any amazing castles to tour near these locations?

Going north from Cologne to Hamburg will you not find the usual castle on a mountain, as you might expect in Germany, as this area is pretty flat, but you should be able to find nice watercastles in the area around Muenster for example.

I think there is also a nice castle in Lueneburg and in Hannover.

If you are stuck between Hamburg and Cologne, you will most likely be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

In Cologne is the cathedral which is amazing and close by is a Roman ruin that was recently discovered.
