  1. stay away from the daewoo - they are a discontinued vehicle line and parts are extremely hard to locate

  2. yes i agree with the dude above me. daewoos are disposable cars. if the budget would allow, get the new Civic or a Ford Focus TDCi. Civic makes 15km/l and the Focus 21km/l.

  3. I have a 2007 honda civic and its great on gas, I commute to college everyday. I drive 30 minutes there and back on the highway and i only have to fill her up once a week about 25 dollars. It really is good on gas

  4. Here is My Top 5:

    1.Honda Cvic

    2.Toyota Corolla

    3.Toyota Matrix

    4.Honda Fit/Jazz

    5.Pontaic G5/Pursuit/Chevorlet Colblot

  5. Don't commute to college, you will want to shoot yourself. Just move there, it might be even cheaper to do that!

  6. More details in your question would probably allow others to provide better responses.

However, try to buy a recently used 2005-06 Hyundai Elantra or Accent. Or buy a new Accent. Both get great gas mileage, both have excellent warranty and both are much less costly than any Honda or Toyota.  Hyundais cost less to insure and have excellent safety ratings.  Daewoo cars are probably not a good choice.

  7. Since I commute to college, and I've had my fair share of vehicles, I've pretty much whittled out a list of recommended cars.

    1) Ford Escape. These get good fuel mileage, are extremly reliable (I've never had any issues with mine, and I put on 50,000 miles a year) and have 4WD if you live in an area that gets snow.

    2) Honda Civic. These get great fuel mileage and have the Honda name to back them up. The only draw back, if you need work done to the vehicle, parts tend to run pricey.

    3) Honda Accord. *See Above*

    4) Scion tC. Produced by Toyota, these cars get pretty decent mileage, and have been around for a while. Though, they were a part of a major recall involving the air-bag system, most have been fixed and can be obtained for a decent price.

Overall, if you're looking for a car, I would search for a Honda, Ford, Toyota, or Nissan. Those are the top four companies in quality and reliablity. Ford tends to run cheaper for maintence since most of the parts are made in North America. Honda tends to have better fuel economy than the other car companies (particularly since they don't really have a large truck line)

  8. ok if you want a car that is cheap and gives you good milage try getting a getting a 95 corolla they give you great mileage and they are reliable easy to maintain and it wont cost you an arm or a leg to fix they are a bit roomy  it isnt my favorite car but when i go to long trips i take it cuz i know i wont have to worry about gas i fill mine up with 20 dollars and it last me 9 days and i do drive alot

  9. stay away from daewoo the did not pass safty stan. in us. they are not allowed to bring any more in not safe
