  1. Let me get this right.  You don't have good credit & you want to buy furniture for a home you don't have yet?  Get the home first.  Any loan officer will tell you DO NOT make any large purchases & DO NOT let anyone inquire into your credit.  This will make it more difficult to buy a home & will lower your credit scores.

  2. rent to own is not good you pay double maybe triple

don't buy anything on credit prior to buying a house it will lower your credit wait until after you close on house to buy anything

  3. You heard right.  Rent to own is a huge rip-off.  The best way to buy furniture if you have bad credit is to wait until you have a place and save as much as you can.  Once you have the place, check out tag sales and consignment stores for hard furniture and discounters for soft (you don't want used mattresses or couches).  Buy the stuff little by little.

  4. Do NOT to the rent to own. You will end up paying double or triple the value of the merchandise. Most companies did away with there layaway programs because of product loss. I do not have good credit either,  and I have found affordable merchandise at IKEA, Big Lots and Wal-Mart. Good Luck.

  5. Don't go to the rental places.

    They ARE a rip-off.

Go to resale and consignment shops.

You can find great deals on home furnishings.

  6. Start by looking at used/resale items first. You can get really good buys and in great or like new condition. Try garage sales and your local  craigslist.

If not then be careful credit through stores usually have a higher credit rate than a Mastercard or Visa. Some offer no interest for awhile but then hit hard with a high credit rate if you don't pay it off.

You don't need to get everything at once so don't overspend. Also look online there are some good deals and they will ship it to you.

    Good Luck.
