just check with your provider that your phone is able to be used abroad by ringing them. if it isnt, theyll be able to make sure that it is, but its likely you will be able to.

if you can, the problem youll then have is getting signal, as youll be out in the sea. if youre having a day at sea, i doubt youll be able to get signal as you wont be near land. but once youre near land, and on land, you should be able to pick up signal.
