  1. Most beautiful places in Rome are the renaissance & baroque theatre-square (Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Campidoglio, Fontana di Trevi...), the archeological site (Colosseo, Arco di Costantino, Pantheon, Foro Romano, Fori Imperiali, Palatino...) and the Vatican (S. Pietro & Musei Vaticani).

I am from Rome, and I suggest you to visit some unexplored and hidden places...

Fontana delle Tartarughe at "ghetto": http://gallery.giovani.it/img/mms/foto/2...

Largo dei Librai (a little square near Campo de' Fiori):

Here you can eat some "filetti di baccalà", a Roman traditional food, very good!

    Piazza di Pietra

To eat: Taberna Patricii et Plebei (near Fontana di Trevi)http://gallery.giovani.it/img/mms/foto/2...

To drink something: Campo de' Fiori and its pub:

    ENJOY :)))

  2. if you get the opportunity to leave the city, head to spoleto and check out the charming town.  it is simply breathtaking and a good introduction into all that umbria has to offer.  there is a train that goes between rome and spoleto, find a day to visit and see the fortress, aqueduct, and explore the streets.  its picture perfect and the people are so nice!

  3. Take a city map and you'll find all the places you must/want visit. There are a lot of restaurants, so you can choose what you like, or try to change every day the menu.

  4. Hello, I've visited Rome 3 times the last 5 years and every time I was thinking that I have to come back because I didn't see all the places I've planned to visit.

Some of the places I've visited and I can't forget are the famous monument of Colosseum, the Fontana di Trevi (the most famous and photographed fountain in Rome), Pantheon (dedicated to the seven planetary divinities and featuring an interior of gorgeous marble), the Vatican Museums (the biggest collection of art in the city, including Michelangelo's ceiling of the Sistine Chapel), the Villa Borghese (famous villa of 17th century which is surrounded by one of the largest and most beautiful public parks in Rome),

Piazza di Spagna (located in the heart of Rome, this elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings augmented by the colorful flowers that adorn the Spanish Steps), and more and more...

Rome is an open museum. Great history, magnificent city!

  5. When you get home sick there's a Hard Rock Cafe on the western side of the city. Make sure to stop by Plaza Navona. It's not too far away from the spanish steps and it's a great place for some gelato and taking in the slower life in Rome.

  6. Ciao!

You can find many beautiful et not expensive accomodation in Rome on     www.SleepInRome.it

    Good luck
