I will be going to cancun in 6 days and I would like to get scuba diving license if possible?

I'm leaving to cancun in 6 days and forgot all about these classes. I live in Queens NY any suggestions in order to take these classes. Do I need anything in order to go snorkelling as well? please help .......no clue!

Snokeling can be done by anyone. No license required.

You can get certified in Cancun if you are there long enough. Usually takes 2 days while there. Just check out your resort to see if they offer it. You can not dive in fly in 24 hours. So if you arrive on Monday you can't dive until it's been 24 hours. If you are flying out Friday then you can't dive on Thursday.

I'm a dive instructor with PADI.   The only way you would be able to get certified is if you took the course right now as a private certification course and told your local dive shop you need to have it done within 6 days.  You don't need a liscense to snorkel.  Cancun is nice, try to see if you can get over to Cozumel.

no license to snorkel is required. some of the best diving in the western hemisphere is off Isla  Mujeres.

You will be able to take classes for a day or two on your holiday in cancun and then get a scuba diving license and for the rest of your holida you will be able to enjoy scuba diving how you like.

I dont know any other possible ways.

Becoming certified for scuba takes a long time -- waaay more than 6 days.  you have to take classes, pass swiming tests and do "practice" dives with an instructor before getting a certification.  stick to snorkeling -- you don't need anything for that.
