In most bars and pubs in Milan, from 6PM to 10PM they have these "happy hours" where you order a drink (€6/€8) and you can eat whatever you want. It's great. The best places are near the University (Lambrate quarter) or in the "Navigli", the zone of Milan with the water canals (Porta Ticinese quarter). In the Navigli you will find thousands of different bars, pubs and restaurants.

Another place to go in the afternoon is the Brera quarter (near Duomo) and if you want to go out later at night, Corso Como is fun.
