Not  anything  Near  Old  San Juan ..Isla Verde  maybe...

Well, El Convento is a good hotel in Old San Juan but it is NOT  inexpensive. Other than that, I don't think you will find something cheap in Old San Juan. You should start thinking about el Condado or Isla Verde where you can find a decent hotel at an affordable price such El Condado Plaza Hotel or the Embassy Suite Hotel which are good and are  located in a good area. I hope this info works but I really believe that you won't find anything cheap and decent at Old San Juan.

Isla Verde is less expensive and close to the airport and San Juan. Make sure you read my other entry for general info about P.R..
