I am currently in Seattle, WA. After work Friday night the 15th I will be going up to Vancouver and arriving around 7/8 pm. That night I wanna go out to a cool/fun bar, club, or casino. We are two 20 year old single guys so something that would fit us. Any recomendations of places to go that night would help. Tell me as much as you can about the place as well. Then I will be there just for the morning/afternoon on saturday. So what are a few of the "must-see", affordable, and easy to get to attractions? Obviosuly I need things that will only take up the morning/afternoon, as I will be leaving by about 4. With these places in mind, any recomendations of a reasonably priced but safe/clean hotel/motel to stay at would be greatly appreciated as well. Thank you to all. I will award best answer points.

  1. You are probably best heading right down town Vancouver.  Bars are concentrated along Granville street and GasTown.  If you have no real request of music type, then No real suggestions other than walk the street and go with the shortest line up.  The Edgwater Casino is nearby so you could check that out too.

The next day, either Shopping or cool reastaurants  along Robson Street, and/or GasTown.  If you aren't hungry or into shopping then drive through Stanley Park maybe stopping at the Aquarium or drive up to the Capilano Suspension bridge.

  2. Google the most popular ones and look at the reviews online!

downtown is the nite scene and so many bars and such suggest you just walk down Granville or Robson street and see what hits your fancy.

Day trips; stanley park area is nice and also downtown. Capilano suspension bridge area also okay.  Also on the north shore is grouse mountain.  If your the athletic type do the grouse grind (two hour power hike) up grouse mountain  or if your less physically inclined take the gondola to the top for a spectacular view.
