I will be moving to Kelowna, BC soon and would love to grow bougainvillea outdoors.?

Do I have to grow them in pots that I take inside in the winter or will they come back year after year in my garden.

You will have to grow them in pots to move to a frost free place during winter. A couple of frosts and it's goodbye.

you will have to leave them in pots and take them in. they are tropical plants and die at a hard freeze. they are only cold tollerant to 28 degrees fahrenheit or about -1 celcius
