Question:

I will be staying in Meudon for 5 days - Does anyone know this town?

I will have to travel into Paris every morning. The first couple of days I will have to go all the way to Paris-Nord Villepinte from Meudon. I've been told of a (free) shuttle from Porte Maillot that goes to Paris-Nord Villepinte. Can anyone tell me the best way to get to Porte Maillot from Meudon using public transportation. The Metro I suppose? Is Porte Maillot out of the way? Should I go straight to Paris-Nord Villepinte from Meudon?

I will also have to go to the Congrès des Paris (Porte Maillot) from Meudon. Any suggestions for the best way to bet there?

My French is as good as that cartoon character “Pepe le Pu” – too much TV as a kid I suppose. I can speak Spanish and Italian fluently... How tough will the French be on me?

Thanks in advance for your help and reassurance.

Hey, Did you had a good time in Marostica?  I finally decided to go to Vicenza anyway.  I had a blast with my twin nephews (specially going shopping...tierra tragame!!!).

    Saludos amigo

ja,jaaa... I was feeding Tigre (my crazy cat) when I read about Vicenza and the  cats...

    Woa...you ate good..

No, I couldn't because I was on twins duty (I'm their godmother).  My sis in law needed some break.  It was quite challenging.  You don't want to know what they did at the Padova's IKEA...I had to chase them down from the displays...tierra tragame...la gente me miraba malisimo...

    Auguri anche a te...

    Ciao

  3. I wish I could help you GC ! Have a great time my friend! :)

  4. Meudon is on RER C line, it is a train line operated by the SNCF network. The best is to look for your route on this website:

    http://www.transilien.com/web/site/accue...

Check the trip to Porte Maillot (which also has a stop on this line).

Check also the trip to St-Michel Notre Dame because it is where line C connects with RER line B which will take you to Paris Nord-Villepinte, just take the train that goes to Charles de Gaulle airport. Line B is operated by the RATP network which operates the Paris métro and most RER lines.

For the métro map and trip planning from St-Michel Notre Dame to Paris Nord Villepinte, go to http://www.ratp.com/

You can display the page in English by clicking on the flag.

If you download a map of the subway, RER C is the thick yellow line that branches out into many different directions and line B is the thick blue line that runs north-south.

If your address in Meudon is closer to the tramway (  = streetcar), then you can take it to La Défense and then take métro line 1 to Porte Maillot (it's only 3 or 4 stops away).

Check also the parc d'expositions website:

    http://www.expoparisnord.com/en/commun/l...

I read they had a free shuttle when there was a train strike last fall but I doubt they have one otherwise.
