  1. Perhaps you can try Sunway Resort.. Not a real beach, but not bad for a get away..

  2. About 2 hours.

  3. the nearest beach resort that is worthwhile going would be the Avillion in Port Dickson. It's a beautiful beach resort but i have to say that the beaches in PD is quite polluted. But Avillion is nice. However, there's definitely no train going to PD from KL. The nearest train station to PD would be in Seremban. After that you would probably need a public transport to get you to PD. That would take you another 45 mins to an hr. And mind you, the buses in Malaysia is terrible.

I think the best way for you to get to PD would be by car. And it'll take about 1 hr 15 mins. Try asking the staffs from the hotel you're staying at. Maybe they can try to arrange for something.

Or if you prefer a better holiday, take a cab or a bus to LCCT and hop on Air Asia's earliest flight to Langkawi. Once you get there, rent a car (they're affordable starting from RM70 a day). Drive to Tanjung Rhu and hop on the boat for a mangrove tour. That'll be an experience you won't forget. Simply wonderful! The mangrove tour, depending on the seasons would be around RM180 to RM250 for a 2 hrs boat ride... you'll be able to see the geoforest of malaysia. Go eagle feeding from near...and so many more fun stuffs.

The beaches are definitely better in Langkawi. And you don't need to spend so many days there....spend one night and 2 whole days is enough! I've done that and i had so much fun....you can always get the next flight back to KL the next day...

    Try it!

  4. by train it will be 1 hour or two.

by car its 1 1/2 hours.

The closest beach ( a good one ) is Port Dickson. The better ones are nowhere close to KL.

    the rest would be in

Langkawi Island (5 1/2 hours by car, and then by ferry. train not sure)

Batu Ferringhi, Penang (5-4 1/2 hours by car, and then by ferry or car. Theres a bridge connecting it

Rantau Panjang, Terengganu (6-7 hours by car, I'm not sure theres a train connecting there

And the rest would be around islands
