  1. I have a feeling that there are no lockers for bags at any airport now!!! If you could get your luggage onto your next flight it would save the hassle.....I had a problem with luggage storage in Siena, so was wandering the cobbled streets and hills with my wheely bag towed behind me! Not the greatest day in the world I have to say........Good luck

  2. The fastest way to get to London is to take the Gatwick Express, which isn't exactly cheap (30GBP return) and takes 30 minutes. And that only gets you to Victoria Station. From there, you'd have to purchase another metro ticket to get anywhere you want to go (4-5GBP). There are cheaper ways to get to London from Gatwick, but you won't get there as quickly and with only 8 hours, you wouldn't get to see much of the city. It's certainly do-able, but it would cost you a bit. I've no idea if there are lockers to rent at Gatwick.

  3. You can leave your luggage at the airport.  Look for the "left luggage" = storage place, where you pay to leave bags.  They will x-ray the bags to check there is nothing dangerous in them, then hold them till you get back.

There are not self-service lockers, only the staffed left-luggage offices.

From Victoria (where the Gatwick Express train arrives), it's less than a mile to Buckingham Palace
