  1. The subway is the most convient way to get around to almost all of the tourist places.  There are stops close to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, etc.  You can by tickets at any of the stations, and if I remember correctly, they aren't very expensive.

    Enjoy!

  2. Montmartre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, Trocadero, Concorde, Opera, Grands Boulevards, Bastille, Louvre, Musee Rodin, Marais, Cite des Sciences,

    Versailles (outside Paris).

The subway is the best way. You can get a one day pass for about five and a half euros (cheaper if you are under 26 for the week-end) - don't get the pass they try to sell tourists because it is much more expensive and gives you lots of stuff you don't need, like travelling into the suburbs.

You can also try out the new almost-free bikes. You will need a credit card for your deposit, then for one euro a day you can pick up a bike from any stand in Paris and leave it at any other stand (within half an hour).
