  1. You need to find the nearest passport office in your city and get a replacement. Or if you're anywhere near washington dc, drive there to that office and you'll get it the same day.


  2. Below is a link to the State Department's Passport Agency site.  If you're in a busy city like New York, it may be very difficult to get an appointment to replace it in time; if you're near a small city, you may be fine.   I used a service called American Passport and did it by mail, and it worked very well; their link is also below.

  3. You can't leave without a passport . Call the passport people and ask THEM what to do.

    Then get yourself down to the passport place ASAP with whatever documents they want for a new passport and do whatever they say to get your passport replaced.

    Pay the fees for an expedited replacement passport.  It's expensive, but they can get you a new one before you are due to leave.
