My plane arrives around 1am. I was wondering if there is any places still open where I can visit and hang out. I heard that the city is kind of dangerous. I will be leaving the same morning to Boracay Beach (5-6am) depending on what I do in the city. Any suggestions or ideas will be greatly helpful and appreciated. Thanks!!!

  1. Since your flight to Boracay is between 5AM-6AM, you might as well get the airport taxi to take you to Domestic Airport and patiently wait for your flight.  Bring with you your favorite pocket book and read while waiting.  Because if you will go somewhere else, you might forget and miss your Boracay flight.  And since you are fully aware of the dangers you might encounter, better proceed straight to Domestice Airport.

I will pray for your safety.  I hope you will enjoy your trip :) Oh, you better bring mosquito repellent.

    GOD BLESS YOUR TRIP!!!!!!

  2. All your needs can be met at the airport.  Don't waste a lot of time and money trying to go out.  You may not be abe to find a cab in town that late and miss your flight,.

A long cab ride is cheap and you could see some of the city and know you have a ride back .  Just to kill time.

Then again.  Late at night, with a cabbie you don't know, in a place where you are lost.

    Scary!

  3. the three to four  hours of waiting could be better spent in the lounge or in a nearby cafe or restaurant.its not too long. better stay in the airport - read, take a nap if you can.

going somewhere else is not advisable. the traffic in Manila is extreme,a supposedly 30- minute ride would become one and a half hour. and aside from that, those hours are prone to hold-ups, thieves could be all over the place.

  4. Don't go anywhere.  You'll need every penny you got at Boracay.  That place is a tourist trap.

  5. Restaurants, money changers, cafes, and bars are open all night. 3-4 hours wait for your next domestic flight is sure a long wait but if it's me, I would rather lounge at the airport or go to a restaurant if I don't have much luggage. If you know your way around Manila, you can stop by any food establishments to have a coffee or whatever, the danger in a dark and not so crowded street is getting hold up or nabbed. By the way, taxi drivers in Manila do not give change.

  6. are you on vacation or not ? if you are do some club hopping or bar hopping. stop wondering around asking yourself   ' WHAT IF ? " get out there  have some fun ! Rule # 1 get rid of your watch your on Vacation. Rule#2 buy a watch 2 days before you comeback where you from, thats it !

  7. Hmmm...well here's some recommendations...

    1.  Travel light.

    2.  Keep money in socks (wear sneakers), and just buy sandels in Boraca.

    3.  Watch out for pick pockets.

    4.  Change money (maybe $20 into pesos before you come), and try to get small bills.

    5.  You could have a very bad experience, but I'd recommend just taking a cab to the "EDSA international entertainment complex".  Pls look this up on map so you know the way, which is on the corner of "EDSA" Ave and Roxas Blvd in front of the hotel

    6.  If you say this the taxi guy will try to BS you, so just ask for the Heritage Hotel.  When he say's something, say on the "Corner of Edsa and Roxas" po.  THen whenhe moves forward look to see if he pushes the meter on and say "Meter po", "Meter p**i", and if he won't get out.  You can agreeto a tip.  He will try to take u anywhere but Heritage so say you have wife waiting for you there.

    7.  Edsa complex is a prostitute mall, with 5 or 6 bars with maybe 20 -40 girls each.  But, the problem is you'll need a hotel room if you want to leave with them.

    8.  If you want to have a more clean night, or perhaps massage parlor style s*x, then you can go to Malate where there is night clubs, fine dining, and of course massage (s*x) shops by the hour.  There is also a lot of g*y activity here.  This place is about 10-15 mins less than P500 from the airport.  But at night the cabby might be a problem. Just keep him on Roxas and head north.   U can ask for the "Best Western HOtel" 1166 M.h. Del Pilar Corner Arquiza Street Ermita (manila) , but the problem is the taxi guy will bull **** you.

    9.  Try to have nothing more than back back with you if that much.

    10. Finally, the most problems u will have is with taxi and airport.  U want to be a airport about 1 hr ealy, so leave 2 hrs early, which means u might want to stay put at airport.

  8. Star-watch

  9. You don't have enough time to go out on the town.  Just getting from one terminal to the other will consume a lot of time.  And at that time of night there's nobody out there but crooks, thieves, and hookers.
