  1. We call "bouquiniste"  people that are selling old and rare books.

    Google search

    http://www.google.fr/maps?hl=fr&rlz=1B2G...

    Pages jaunes (yellow pages)  search

    http://www.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi

And generally "old and rare books stores" are along Seine river on quay   (look for Quai in a French map)

You will find more especially on the Quai Voltaire

    Go to   http://www.livre-rare-book.com/geo.html

    Look for Paris

  2. In addition to Joker's already very complete response, I would also like to add that the parc Georges Brassens is host every weekend from 9 am to 6 pm, to 60 to 80 'bouquinistes', in the old Horse Stalls (I think it used to be the sight of one of Paris's slaughterhouses).

It is off the beaten path, on 104, rue Brancion - Paris15, the closest metro station is either Porte de Vanves or Convention. It would be a lovely place to go on a nice day...

  3. very good answer of "joker" . he deserves a best answer.

just look at the pictures in the linked page . That will help you to imagine what a "bouquiniste" is .
